What Students and Teachers Had to Say:

I am very glad that I had this opportunity to express myself and to get to know people from other countries, not only the students, but the educators as well that shared their knowledge. I never thought I would have this chance to meet such interesting people and to learn about this cooperation between Asia-American Pacific countries. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with me. I hope you still keep doing this!

All my life I have been given a view of the world primarily from the United States perspective and now I see the world in a different light. Knowing all perspectives will make for a more united and interdependent world, and interdependence is the foundation of globalization and will serve to better member economies and promote diverse education.

I learned so much about commerce, the economy, trade, not only of Mexico, but other countries. I learned that we need interdependence to trade and help each other be better. I am so fascinated and happy.

This program allowed for students and teachers to share experiences and learn new ideas and about new cultures. Looking at APEC from a variety of perspectives broadened everyone’s thinking and appreciation for different points of views and approaches to problems. Interdependence is key in a world that is increasingly becoming very small and more connected every day.
