Seeby Woodhouse
CEO Orcon Internet Ltd
Achievements
Seeby was fascinated by
money and enterprise from an early age. He was raised on Scrooge Mc Duck comics.
As a young man he was privy, firsthand, to the devastation caused by the 1987
share market crash, and so is well aware of economic downturns and the economic
cycle. He began Orcon with an old computer and only $100. His first enterprise
involved selling domain names to corporates, seizing the opportunity of the
growing Internet industry. Orcon has subsequently grown to be the darling of
business case studies at tertiary institutions.
Vision of the Future
People should not be disheartened by technology’s failure to provide the
promised IT developments. According to ‘Moore’s Law’ that
processing power doubles over every 18 month period, the possibilities that
lie in the coming years are quite literally limitless. A possible side effect
of this development is that we may be force to sacrifice some of our freedoms,
which we presently take for granted.
Food
For Thought
Seeby is confident that people can convert their dreams to realities with goal
setting, no matter how unrealistic. He personally strives to run the biggest
Company in the world. He recommends that we remain astute to the hard trends
developing around us such as the aging population, and seize any and every opportunity
that presents itself.
Quotes
“You can achieve anything from the smallest beginnings.”
“If you think something is possible you will achieve it”
“Just because you fail at something doesn’t mean you will always
fail”
